I was chatting to my friend Quikthnkr about yesterday’s HAFT comic, and that I thought perhaps I could have revealed more in the last frame about the Admiral’s feelings other than, “Nobody messes with my wife!” He e-mailed me some suggestions for other things I could have put in the last bubble:

CN: (Just Angry): I’m going to start killing and I’m not sure when I’ll stop!

CN: (Really Dark Comedy): Did I make the payment on Barbie’s Life Insurance Policy this month?

CN: (Sadistic): I wonder what they are doing to her? And can I watch?

CN: (Whiny): Why does this crap always happen to me?

CN: (Perverted/Random): I wonder what she’s wearing for the torture?

CN: (Gross): That better not be the finger she checks my prostate with!

CN: (Prayerful): Please let her be ok.

CN: (Political): I wonder if they’ve tried the waterboarding yet?

CN: (Self Involved): Well at least she won’t be laughing AND pointing next time I can’t get it up.

CN: (Oblivious): I wonder why they call them “Dog Tags?”

CN: (Religious): Catholic! She told me she was Presbyterian!

The man is a genius! Can we just say I intended ALL those meanings with the one line?

LOL!

Okay, here is the next HAFT. My son Spyton says it is getting too dark. Is it getting too dark? I don’t mean it to be dark. It does have a plot which does hang together and make sense and in the end will all come together in a way that will even satisfy OboeCrazy (who is a very tough story critic)… but it is not meant to be dark. It is meant to be… preposterous. I mean… For those of you lamenting the death of Weapon L… well, you guys DO know I’m a Marvel comics fan, right? Trust me. Everything is going to be okay. The HAFT motto: Amor Vincit Omnia which is Latin for: Omelette du Fromage.

Yikes. Hey. I WAS going to kill her off altogether, but was convinced not to do so by Quik, Jenga & OboeC. I guess we’ll have to see if the Spartans & Chuck can save her.

Anyway, I wanted to finish up with the action in the “undisclosed cold and lonely black ops base” because you can only torture a bunch of action figures so long before you start to doubt your own sanity. And it was getting too confusing to follow the plot going back and forth. Yes! There is a plot!

Please enjoy this gratuitous Barbie bashing. Poor little thing. And remember, when performing an intramuscular injection into the gluteus maximus, be careful not to hit the sciatic nerve.

I would just like to say that Halo Action Figure Theater is not taking over my life. I can quit any time I want to. Sure, the wife and kids don’t see me like they used to, and these days I have to pose my action figures sometimes starting at 10, or even 9 AM just to get going. But that doesn’t make me an addict! It doesn’t!!!!

*breaks down in tears*
